Specifications on each Chromebook seem to be that of a netbook. Which it is understandable as the ChromeOS is mainly dedicated for websurfing. Nevertheless, prices are a bit steep. Netbooks having the same specifications and having the ability in installing windows 7 and/or linux and coming in at a cheaper price give very much favor in purchasing a netbook even more appealing over a Chromebook. One feature I did notice which is very appealing to me is the screen size of the both ChromeBooks. Ranging from 11.6" to 12.1" making these Chromebooks not to take lightly.

The downfall of Nintendo

Nintendo has not provided anything new to date. Do not get me wrong, the Wii was revolutionary during its release. I was one of the many that purchased the Wii not just because it was revolutionary, but because it looked like something new and exciting. Well, fast forward to today, my Wii is stored away collecting dust.

I have to give great credit to Nintendo's marketing team. Because, if I knew graphics were not going to be up to par with the Wii's competitors then I would not of purchased it. I feel as if I was conned! Another complaint was the fact that the Wii could not do what was advertised, the motion sensors were out of control and games became a nuisance to play.

Now, this takes me to my last note on this topic. Nintendo continues to milk their platform exclusive games.
How many Mario revision games are we going to see? How many Zelda games are they planning on making before people start to catch on? How many times is Metroid going to be attacked by aliens that she killed years ago? We need something new, not remakes and revamps of old classic games with improved graphics.

The Wii was a complete disappointment. I do not understand how Nintendo could state the Wii was a "next-gen" console. The specifications on the Wii's hardware were comparable to the Gamecube's specifications.

With that said, the Nintendo Wii U is said to have specifications comparable to the PS3 and the 360. That is not a next-generation console guys! Why would I buy a console that has the same specs as the PS3 or the 360, when there are going to be more powerful console out there? I believe this may be the second to last console Nintendo will release and follow SEGA's path. If I am wrong, Nintendo needs to open their eyes and understand that they can not compete against Microsoft or Sony.

PlayStation Vita Beginning

I was one of the many that loved their PSP. I bought my PSP at launch, and I have loved it ever since. The PSP is a great piece of hardware. You can search the web, listen to your favorite music and play your favorite PSP or PS1 games all at the same time. Graphics are still top-notch for hand held consoles. Of course Sony has delayed the new era of the PSP for quite sometime. Nevertheless, the time is now, Sony has announced the Playstation Vita. Which will incorporate every single thing the original PSP was missing. Dual analog sticks and better multi-tasking, what else could I ask for?! Maybe backward compatibility with PS2 games, might be a little to much, but I can dream right? Some of the features of the PSP VITA, sit back and enjoy.

Call of Duty - ModernWarfare 3

Well where can I start? Call of Duty 4 revolutionized all first-person shooters. The first time I laid eyes on the Call of Duty gameplay I was stunned by the graphical environment it had to offer. Also, how often do you have a main player die in the game?! That in itself was breath taking! At first glance I actually thought the gamplay was Computer Generated Imagery. After finding out that it was game play I was astonished, and I knew that was the game to get. Once the announcement of Modern Warfare 2's release I literally thought that the sequal was going to be the end of epic fanchise, I was definitly wrong, and I must admit I was very excited. Modern Warfare 2 did not bring much new into the franchise, nevertheless, it was the game to get.

Now before the talk about Modern Warfare 3 at E3. I was a bit hesitant to search the game. As I had a feeling they could do nothing to improve upon Modern Warfare 2. Now with the release of official trailers, I found myself excited yet hesitant because I do not want to waste sixty-dollars on an exact Modern Warfare 2 replica with just an added feature or new skins for weapons. I broke down and previewed the trailer, and I have to tell you. It was a huge let down. I saw nothing impressive, and just another linear shooter game. The little hope I had for this sequel was crushed, I for one will not be getting or jumping on the bandwagon for this game.

Battlefield 3

How many people have played Battlefield: Bad Company and found it to be a disappointment? I know I did. However, Battlefield 3 is nothing like Bad Company. Battlefield 3 will take the role of its predecessor Battlefield 2 which was an exclusive to the PC. If you had the chance to play Battlefield 2 then you know quality and hard work was put into the creation of Battlefield 3. It has been mentioned by EA Digital Illusions CE, the Battlefield 3 engine has been in development for about six years! If thats not dedication, then I do not know what is. With that in mind please sit back and enjoy the official trailer of Battlefield 3.

Red Faction: Armageddon Review

Lets start the game reviews, Ill finish up the story of last my blog another day.

Today I will be reviewing Red Faction: Armageddon.

I have been a long time fan of the Red Faction series. I can still remember the very first time I had laid my hands on Red Faction for the PS2. It was an astounding game in every aspect! Red Faction was the first to implement the "GEO-Mod" technology which allowed the destruction of your surroundings! Can you imagine a door locked and it is required of you to complete a long chained quest in order to obtain this key? Well not in Red Faction! I'll just equip my trusty rocket launcher and make myself my own entrance! That hows incredible this game was. Now fast forward to Red Faction: Guerrilla, I was speechless! Guerrilla was one of the best titles out in 2009. Everything, and I mean everything was destructible. Massive bridges and buildings were demolished, all inn the name of the fun factor. Even though I had to drive ridicules miles around the destroyed bridge, I did not mind as I was the one that destroyed it. I can go on and on about Red Faction: Guerrilla, but I digress.

Red Faction: Armageddon is a complete failure. The game does not feel the same. Rather than a open world like we had seen in Red Faction: Guerrilla, we are restricted to a linear based shooter game. If I wanted to play a linear shooter game I would just put on Modern Warfare or Black OPs. What makes Volition think they can compete against Infinity Ward? The graphics are nice, but graphics can do so much. I wanted something built upon guerrilla. I literally stopped playing the game half way into it because I found it to linear and nothing original. I don't know guys, I might be over-reacting because I am seeing the down fall of one of my favorite games.

zx6r + wood on freeway = Damage to fairings!

Out of the two motorcycles, I primarily use the zx6r motorcycle. Not just because of the looks, but because I think I am addicted to the speed! I try to be careful as much as I can, but I do find myself riding a little to fast on residential streets. To my defense, you become nullified to the speed after a few months of riding motorcycles and you will catch yourself doing 60mph on a 35mph posted street.

So, riding at fast speeds like that, you can just imagine how fast I go on the freeway. I have dramatically slowed down after a incident which had happened on the freeway.

[incident]
I was a little late to school, it was midterms week. So I crammed as much as I could in the morning before heading out to school. Little did I realize that time was ticking away. Once it hit me, I got suited up and I was ready to go. Once on the freeway I was hitting a little above 75mph before getting on the carpool lane, from there on I was doing triple digits because the carpool lane was fairly empty. After a few minutes I had caught up to a few cars ahead of me. I had decided that I would bypass them and continue at maybe 80-90mph. I had bypassed about four cars before we came to a miner right curve on the freeway, but at high speeds you on more susceptible to blind-spots on the upcoming pavement on the freeway. With little care, I gave the motorcycle more throttle to bypass a car that was alongside me.

As I did, I glimpsed down for a millisecond and that is when I saw it, a damn 4x4 of wood in my path! You could just imagine what went through my mind. I can not recall my speed, that was the last time I was thinking about. My main priority was to slow down as much as possible without getting hit from the back and/or slamming into something. I had no way of escaping, the vehicle I tried to pass up was right alongside me, and swerving into regular freeways lanes was not an option as there was heavy traffic. My only option was to stabilize the motorcycle and go over the wood.

So to be honest, I do not know at what speed I went over the wood. All I remember was getting about 1.5-2.5 seconds of air time. That was not a very good feeling. I will continue with the story in my next Blog and I will provide more pictures of the damage! Stay tuned!
